Discussion II: Flames

"ZOMFG!111!! your stoyr is liek terible! Ugh use correct grammer and speling nex time or sumting! you suk! your liek sik and stpid!!1! i bet engrish is your secnd lan. or sumting! teh ppz who review tis stoyr are liek retards! i bet your a fob!1!"
Ever receive a review such as the one above on your fanfiction account? This is (obviously) a flame.
Let's start off with the definition of the word. A flame is basically a hate review, bashing your story, yourself and sometimes your readers/reviewers. Some of them are useful (such as ones that are grammatically correct and give a reason as to why the story is bad) but most flames are just stupid. The example that I have given you is a streotypical flame. Bad grammar, loads of spelling mistakes, and completely lame insults. (Fob? Very, very commonly used. Not very threatening.)
I myself have received such a stupid flame. It did nothing but to amuse me very much.
The best to do once this type of flame has been received is to ignore it. The flamers just want you to respond to them in a negative way.
Remember, one person's pain is another's joy~

Tomato-chan, logging out~!

rofl rofl rofl! i love it! but it's kinda true tho. the flame that you put up is like so hypcritical (is that how you spell it?) when i was reading it, i was laughing really hard because it was so funny. the crammar mistakes and using the word fob. lols. i agree with you tho. fob is very commonly used and is not very threatening.
